I'm getting to the point where slashing entire sections of the manuscript may get detrimental. In light of this, I am being a lot more careful with what I cut. Some scenes are good, but simply need to be condensed. Others only need small parts removed from them here and there. For that reason, I'm now using a scalpel instead of a machete, so to speak, and am editing in a more precise manner.
