I've been getting a lot of editing done on "Black Swan Origins: Nineveh." I only have 57 pages left in the fifth draft. It will still need at least two more drafts before it is publishable, but it's getting really good!
However, many scenes need to be cut out to make the story flow better. The manuscript is 284 pages long and I want to get it down to 200 pages or less. These scenes are fun to read, but aren't really necessary to the tale. They're sort of like the fat on a steak: they are delicious, but have no nutritional value. Since this is my debut novel, I only want "the meat", so to speak. For that reason, I am going to trim this thing until it is as lean as a UFC Champion.
